Law Enforcement Cooperative Agreement

Read a brief description of what was discussed at the Mille Lacs County Board of Commissioners meetings:

  • At its meeting on June 21, 2016, the Mille Lacs County Board of Commissioners unanimously approved a resolution to revoke the Cooperative Agreement it entered into with the Mille Lacs Band of Ojibwe in January 2008, due to a dispute over state law.
  • At the December 29, 2016 Board meeting, Mille Lacs County Attorney Joe Walsh presented information regarding Tribal Law Enforcement in Mille Lacs County.
  • At the August 1, 2017 Board meeting, the Board reviewed the proposed Mille Lacs County Law Enforcement Cooperative Agreement.
  • At the September 18, 2018 Board meeting, the Board reviewed and approved the Mille Lacs County Law Enforcement Cooperative Agreement.
