Protection From Harm

Minnesota Statute 611A provides for the following rights for victims.

You have the right to protection from harm, including:

  • Not being disciplined or dismissed by your employer if called to testify
  • Not providing your address in open court
  • Requesting law enforcement withhold your identity from the public
  • Tampering with a witness is a crime and should be reported
  • Waiting in a secure area during court
