The primary function of the Recorder's Office is the recording and preserving of real estate records for properties located in Mille Lacs County. Permanent records of deeds, mortgages and other real estate records are recorded/filed in this office.
Another important function of the Recorder's Office is to protect and issue all vital records including Birth, Death, Marriage and Military Discharges. Our office also issues Marriage Licenses and files Minister’s Credentials & Notary Public Commissions.
It is the mission of the Recorder’s Office to record, protect and preserve, and record documents relating to real estate and vital records in an accurate and professional manner. These records are permanent and will be used for generations to come.
